Kevin Thornton, or “KT” as he was known to millions of fans, was one of four singers who made up the award winning mega-group of the 1990’s, “Color Me Badd”. The group sold millions of albums, reached number one on the Billboard charts and, in addition to being Grammy nominated four times, the group won American Music and Soul Train Awards. They set attendance records all over the world, toured with Paula Abdul, and appeared on TV shows such as “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno”, “Saturday Night Live” and “Beverly Hills 90210”. The group disbanded in the late 90’s and the members have followed their own musical careers. Kevin is now proud to be making gospel music that inspires and brings hope, recording his first solo CD “Conversion” here in Seattle in 2005. Kevin’s new band include members of a popular Seattle gospel group “NehoSoul” (Phil Curry/keyboards, Walter Finch/guitars, Sam Mathews/drums) along with further contributions from smooth jazz artist Gary Reems and talented arranger and conductor Roy Herzer.
