Christina Shehi was born into a musical family and began playing the piano and composing music at an early age. She holds a B.S. in Music Education, a Master of Music in Piano Performance, and has studied music composition with Hanley Jackson and Samuel Adler. She has written numerous pieces for piano, choir, and various ensembles. Her music has been used in a variety of artistic mediums, including ballet company choreography and background music for the spoken Word on Christian radio. In addition to writing her own music, she works as a commercial lyricist for the advertising industry. She is a writer/publisher member of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), and the Seattle Composers’ Alliance.
Christina resides in the Puget Sound area of Washington with her husband, two children and two canine companions. Informally, she is passionate about BBC Mysteries, reading, creating decadent desserts and exploring the great Northwest.
Shehi collaborated with Steven Ray Allen in 1996 to produce her first CD titled “Seasons of the Soul.” Since then, Christina’s lyrical, peaceful piano melodies intertwined with Steven’s lush orchestral arrangements have been introduced to audiences worldwide.
