Billy Moon

Billy Moon is a Seattle-based band led by singer, and songwriter, Kristy Karen Smith (vocals, guitar). Steve Smith (drums and percussion), Bruce Hazen (guitar), and Alan Paisley (bass) complete their acoustic/electric pop sound. These four talented friends started playing music together in September of 1995. Since then, they have released three cd’s, gaining an ever larger and always loyal following.

They have had the opportunity to open for many national acts including Chicago, The Paperboys and Crash Test Dummies. They’ve performed in venues from intimate clubs to large festivals and rock shows with thousands in attendance.

The 2001 Sylvester Stallone film, Driven, includes the song Falling For Me, written by Kristy. The TV shows Get Real and Roswell have featured music by Billy Moon.

Billy Moon was nominated for four 2001 Seattle Area Music Awards, including Best Producer, Best Engineer, Best Female Vocalist and Best New Artist for their 2000 release, Storm Before the Calm. Billy Moon were finalists in the 1999 Lilith Fair Talent Search and 1997 Discmakers Unsigned Band Competition.
